Scott currently resides in Libertyville, Illinois. Born in Trevor, Wisconsin way back in 1964. Scott caught the 4x4 bug in the early 1980’s when he purchased his first rig, a 1977 Ford Quadravan and installed 35” GroundHawgs.
A 1983 graduate of Wyoming Tech, Scott next built a 1984 Bronco II powered by a 302 V8 and started racing at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI. This was about the time that Scott teamed up with his cousin, Paul Wesinger, who has been with him ever since and now shares the driving responsibilities. The boys soon discovered that the 302 was not enough power, so they dumped in a 429 CJ with NOS and stretched the frame 15 inches.

At the ‘94 Indy Jamboree Scott and Paul found a 429 Boss blown-alcohol 4x4 funny car for sale, bought it and “Paperboy Express” was born. The name is for Scott’s part-time job as a paperboy, which he still does today to support his racing habit. They raced the funny-car for several years before switching over to a KCD chassis with a new all aluminum Boss 429 (572 cid). Now the Paperboy could really fly.

A 2006 rollover at Lima, OH forced the team to build a new and better chassis, with the help of chassis specialist, Don Current.
The Paperboy Express has won the Peat Monster Series many years and has been very competitive on the National Level as well, with several wins under their belt.

The rest of the Paperboy Express team includes Ken Miller and Scott’s wife (and major sponsor) Diana.

Scott and Paul are both excited to be a part of PRO-BADD Racing Organization, and looking forward to a fast and safe 2009 season of racing.
