Team O’Steen Takes #1 at the Motojam All-Star Nationals
In Marion, South Carolina, at the Great American Mud Race Series, Mark O’Steen, driving “Dad’s DIRTY BIRD”, won the PRO-BADD MotoJam ALL-STAR Series Nationals, on Sunday, June 14, 2009, with an E.T. of 2.317. That puts him in seventh place in points.

Mark Lee, driving “TIME BANDIT”, set the pace with an E.T. of 2.392 to start the event. Mark was finished for the weekend breaking the transmission on his pass. Billy Gillispie, driving “SPLIT SECOND III”, had an E.T. of 2.575. Billy also had problems and could not make his second pass. Mike Lane was next with ‘ATTITUDE”, turning in a 2.395 on his first pass. Mike’s second pass was a 2.345, placing him third and keeping him in first place in points.

Bob Dunham, driving his “ROLLIN THUNDER”, clocked an E.T. of 2.558. Bob had engine problems and was not able to make his second pass.
Chuck Courty III, driving “MUD MISSILE”, made a good pass on his first pass but the clock malfunctioned. He decided to wait for the second round to make another pass where he ran a 2.330 to place second.
Next was Ennis Thomas in “WAR WAGON”. The first pass, Ennis was riding a wheelie, drifting left, and held it till the guardrail was on him at the finish. He clocked a 2.590. The second pass was a 2.414, to place 6th.
Jeff Goldizen, driving his “GROUND POUNDER”, ran a 2.505 on his first pass and a 2.521 on his second pass, to place 7th.

Mark Lee in “PURE ENERGY” went to warm up his hemi and noticed a fuel/air leak under the blower manifold and had to scratch, which placed him last for the weekend. Mike Lane, driving Rick Holmes’ “WILD CHERRY”, ran a 2.373 to place 4th overall for the weekend. His second pass was a 2.384. Mark O’Steen drew last in the running order, but ran the quickest in both rounds 2.367 and 2.317 to win.
