Larry was born on October 8, 1965 in Metairie, Louisiana. 
 
He became interested in motor sports at the age of 11 when he went to his first Cajun National in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  From that time on he was always fascinated with the blown hot rods.
 
Being from just about as far south as you can get in Louisiana, where there are more than enough shallow waterways, mud holes and such places for 4-wheeling in 1981 he bought his first 4 x 4 Chevy Luv truck and began to mud bog for recreation.  He also raced in the Street Class division during this time.
 
In 1983 he took his stock Chevy Luv truck and dropped in a 406 Blown and Predator carbureted 700 horsepower Small Block Chevrolet engine and became Addicted to Mud.
 
As the years progressed and trucks got faster, in 1987 he built his first tube chassis racecar.  It was a 1932 Ford Victorian body with his 406 Blown and Injected 1400 horsepower Small Block Chevrolet.
 
After owning most of the track records in his area, Larry decided to go National and Pro with his first Hemi 1923 T Altered Team Power Pro.  It was built in October 1990 by Gary Baker and his crew.  He won a National in Cut D.O.T. Class in April of 1991 at Bayou George Raceway Park in Panama City, Florida with a 2.94.  While going for a record in Open Paddle Class he experienced one of the worst crashes in the history of the sport.
 
After the 1993 indoor season, Larry decided to take a break from the sport.
 
In March of 2002 he contacted Gary Baker to begin strategizing to build the new Power Pro Rear Motor Hemi.  At that time, Power Pro 1 was born with its 510 Blown Alcohol Nitrous 2400 horsepower Hemi.
