Jim Lamb "FULL THROTTLE"
"FULL THROTTLE"

Jim was born in 1979 in Virginia, MN and is currently living in Iron, MN. with his wife Andrea.  He is currently working as a heavy equipment mechanic in the Taconite mines in Eveleth, MN.

Jim normally races with NCMRA (North Country Mud Racing Assn). and has been the race director for NCMRA for the past 3 years. The Race Director title means that he finds and schedules races for the Assn.

He has also raced with CMA (Central Mud Racing Assn), North Shore off Road Assn and has been to Petemonster.

Jim’s interest was sparked in the mud  in the ditch across from his parents house with a bunch of friends. .  After that he registered at the North Shore Off Road Assn.  in Two Harbors, MN. and took first place in the Street Class at that race.  In 1999 Jim decided to get more into mud racing and built a 1985 Ford Bronco to race the Super Stock Class.  Jim raced the Bronco for 2 years, with NCMRA and in 2001 took first place in the Modified Class.

Deciding to take the next step in 2003, Jim built an alcohol injected 540 on nitrous in a Power Pro Chassis, running that for a few years his parents decided to build a car of their own, with Jim’s help.  Jim and his dad built a small blower car and it only took half a race season to realize that engine wouldn’t cut it.  In 2007 they bought a 526 with a 1471 and have now went 2 years as Open Class Points Champion and also winning the Modified Class in 2007 with his injected car, running with NCMRA.

The last race of 2008, Jim had a bad crash that destroyed the chassis on the blower car.  Jim and his dad have now built a new car for the 2009 season with a chassis built and designed by them.

We have enjoyed racing for the past 10 years and meeting a lot of great people and are looking forward to the 2009 season.

Jim would like to thank his wife Andrea, and his mom and dad for all of their support.  Mud Racing is truly a family sport!  Jim and his dad Mike, would also like to add another special thanks to Midtown Machine for all of their machine work.
