Jamie has ben racing for over 25 years and works as a parts consultant at a Chevrolet Dealership in Illinois. He is single and lives in Silver Lake Wisconsin. He loves Hunting, Fishing, Hiking and of course Mudracing started mudracing back in 1984 at the Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove Wisconsin where in 1987 he won the Super Modified points series. In 1990 Jamie ran with the Wisconsin Mud & Dirt Draggers Association racing there for two years. In 1992 he built a class 4 car and started racing with the Central Mudracing Association located in NW Wisconsin. Jamie ran an alcohol/nitrous injected car until 2006 and then switched to the blower classes 5 and 6.
His car is a Kilby Mud Racing chassis that started life as the PaperBoy Express car. After a violent crash in 2006, the PaperBoy team decided to build a new car. The engine is a 525ci Keith Black Olds, Aluminum heads, 14-71 SSI Retro Hi-Helix Supercharger, with Enderle Fuel Injection that puts out 2,300 horsepower. Transmission is an SCS Twin Countershaft with a crower triple disc slipper clutch. 38" Cut Ground Hawgs in the front, 36" Bigger Diggers in the rear. Dana 60 rear axle and a custom ford 9" front axle.
Jamie would like to THANK his crew chief, Jeff Heck , who does all of the engine tuning and helps work on the car between races. Jamies parents Jan & Jerry Powell that go to most of the races and supply the enclosed trailer to get the car to the track, and other friends help out allot in different ways.
