James McCawley lives in Detroit Lakes, MN with his wife Holley, daughter Kira, and three dogs. He is the CEO of Storm Bringer, Inc. which consists of hopper bottom specialists, snow plowing, mud racing, and home of Intimidation Racing Engines. In 1996 James started racing his daily driver pick-up. After 4 races he fell in love with the sport and decided to return the daily driver to work duty only, after all repairing the pickup on Sunday night to get to work on Monday was getting old fast. Beginning with a '78 ford bronco in a class named "Open Street" which is one step above stock the love of racing set in for keeps. From there he just kept slowly moving up classes. In 2005 he decided it was time to "go big or go home" so he got his first blower car. There were a lot of hurdles to jump in the beginning when he brought the car home but overall his first season with car was very successful. Since then he has enjoyed the challenge, competition, and great friends he has made a long the way. After all, 8 champion ships later we are still growing and we are presently building a new car for the 2009 season. The new car, as is the norm, will be a Ford powered 585 ci blown motor. James has always believed in being a little different than the competition in not choosing GM or Dodge and enjoys the challenge as a motor builder. Many years, many classes, and many vehicles have past and that same love is still going strong. James has raced with NCMRA, CMA, NMRO, North Shore Off-Road, southwest mud racing and Peat Monster championship series. He is the past vice president of NCMRA and is still helping behind the scene. James would like to thank all his family and friends for all their support throughout his racing career. He would like to extend a special thanks to his wife and racing partner, Holley, for all her hard work and dedication. He is looking forward to watching his daughter, Kira, grow up watching her Daddy race.
