Billy Gillispie Jr was born in 1983 in Charleston WV. He and his wife, Lisa have a daughter Caylee. Billy and his dad started building their first stock truck in the spring of 1999, it was a 1976 short bed Chevy with a 427. Billy’s first race was a bog at Doddridge co fair in WV. In 2001 they built a class 3 truck, an S-10 Chevy. In 2004 they built one more class 3 truck and used a Nissan body, it was made lighter. In 2007 he won the class 3 points championship for B&M motorsports.
They went on to build a class 4 car called Anger Management, and finished 3rd the first year out in NMRO points. In 2008 he started driving the “SPLIT SECOND” blower car, and in 2009 won class 4 and class 5 in the B&M Motorsports points series.
Billy says they have made a lot of friends and went a lot of places and race in 10 different states. They are planning on coming out with a new car for the 2010 season. Billy says that he and his Dad make a great race team and have a blast racing. He would like to thank Mike Lane, if he ever has a question, Mike is always their to help him in any way.
